London is looking for another retirement home.  He was released to Chinook Winds through no fault of his own after spending many years in a home.  London is a delightful old fellow that just needs a soft warm bed and some TLC.  He will provide the love!  London will lay his head on your lap and will drink in all the attention you are willing to give. At night he sleeps beside your bed and sometimes gets up just to check on you. London is a good boy and does not get up on any furniture or beds. He sleeps on nice comfy dog beds and while his current foster home has beds in each room, he can always be found in the same room as the family is in.

London has weakness in his back end that prevents him from going for anything more than short walks.  He has trouble with stairs and although a couple are fine to enter or exit the house, he could not manage more than that on a regular basis. London has good and bad days; sometimes he runs with his foster buddies in the back yard, other days just a few stairs are an effort.  London takes antibiotics one week per month as his teeth are not in the greatest shape.  He is not a candidate for a dental, so the meds prevent any infections or absesses from developing. London is happy to take his pills if you just tuck them in a little canned foot on top of his kibble. He also takes medication once a day to help his old age aches and pains, this is liquid and although it tastes yucky, he takes it like a trooper, but like any kid he makes some pretty funny faces and likes a treat after.

His vet visit showed London to be in good health for his age.  His bloodwork showed nothing of concern, and x-rays reveal no issues.  London has a good appetite and even though he loves to eat, doesn't seem to put on any weight.  He has been an only dog his whole life and while he does get along with other dogs, would prefer to be in a single dog household. 

London is the perfect dog for someone who would just like to open their home and their heart to a guy who didn't ask to be homeless in his twilight years, and isn't any trouble at all.

London is no longer available for adoption.  He is being lovingly cared for and his every need being taken care of in permanent foster care.
